Overview
Founded in 2022 by the renowned storyteller John Allen, the MrBallen Foundation is dedicated to honoring victims and supporting families affected by heinous crimes through education, training, and financial support. Despite its relative youth, Ballen Studios, led by John Allen and Nick Witters, committed to allocating $1 million to the Foundation’s cause.
Challenge
To expand its reach and establish critical partnerships, the MrBallen Foundation sought our team’s expertise to refine its brand strategy, enhance its social presence, and deepen connections with its audience, donors, and partners through design, communication, and marketing.
Approach & Solution
Partnering closely with their executive team, our studio set out to elevate the Foundation’s presence and engagement with its audience in meaningful ways.
Among the numerous projects we’ve been asked to lead, a standout was designing and developing an interactive, experiential booth for the NOVA Conference (of which they were the main sponsor), which was hosted in New Orleans in 2023. Tasked with building a strategic and high-quality booth, we crafted an immersive narrative journey that engaged participants' senses. Drawing inspiration from art and museums, we sought to evoke emotions and attachment to the foundation's story. With meticulous attention to detail, we ensured every element of the booth was intentional and impactful. And the result? Numerous new partnerships and 874 unique email addresses from genuinely engaged individuals. Boom.
In addition to the NOVA Conference, we’ve offered our expertise in brand strategy, campaign development, creative direction, and photo/video production, working on various projects, including the design of signage, custom leather and YETI brand products, as well as digital and print materials like newsletter templates and other collateral, all aimed at sustaining growth and boosting engagement.
Our ongoing strategic focus is to craft compelling narratives and visuals to enhance the Foundation's visibility, credibility, and resonance.
